Please post your prayer requests here. I cleaned out some of the older requests, except for a few very nice prayers, so the list now starts mid January 2010. If I deleted any important ongoing needs, please resubmit them.

I found this prayer today while researching, and thought I'd leave it here for us.

"Lord, I want to spend the rest of my life walking with you in an ever increasing degree of fellowship. I want to reach a point where you are my very life itself. I want to be pleasing to you in all that I do. I want to know your "father heart".

I want to do your will and allow you to express your love to a dying world through me. I want to be a vessel, approved by you as holy and blameless. Use me, oh God, to accomplish your work. I am yours to use as you will. Lead me in the way that I should go. Purify my heart each day in the refiners fire.

Father, you have promised to take care of me if I will but seek first your kingdom and your righteousness. I give you all that I am and all that I have, even as you gave me all that you had to give in order to reconcile me unto yourself.

I want to seek the Lord my God with my whole heart. I want to seek His face and His kingdom with all of my passion and strength. I want to be transformed as I behold His glory. I want to dwell in His presence even on this earth and allow Him to make Himself known to me. I want to grow spiritually as I walk with Him. I want for Him to heal the brokenness of my heart and to give me purpose for living. I want to enter into the joy of the Lord as I have never known. I want to press into the throneroom of the Almighty and sit in His lap as a small child would seek out his father. I want to have relationship with Him that will exceed my wildest imagination. I want to be filled with His Spirit and dwell in heavenly places even while I dwell on this earth. I want to truly know the Way, and the Truth, and the Life. I will no longer settle for only knowing about Him.

I am willing to give up all that I have to attain this, my heart's desire. May these prayers come to pass, my precious Father.

Yes Prisca. I also have felt burden to pray for Haiti, and will definately be joining you (and Unworthy1) in prayer. Our God is Great and can do Great and Mighty things!

Please pray for me that I find a job soon. Just a few more months on unemployment to go and the market isn't looking too good. Somewhere there is a job I am perfectly suited for and will be a challenge as well. It's awful living in times like these.

How's the job hunt going? Lifing you up in prayer...

Hey everybody - I'm back after being off-line for a few days because my internet was shut off. I'm going through a lot right now and would appreciate prayer.

First of all, I want to praise God for keeping me safe. I was doing errands and the Holy Spirit prompted me to get the air in my tires checked. I'm not very good at fiddling with those things in the gas station - my quarter always runs out before I'm halfway through with even one tire - but the place where I get my oil changed is very nice - they not only will check it for free but I always offer the guy a tract and a tip; he'll happily take the tract, but always refuses the tip. Anyway, he looked at the tire and said I was about to have a blowout, pointing out where the metal was showing through. I went back to Walmart, where I got the tires originally, but they wouldn't honor the warranty; I had to get a new tire. (Had I known that I'd have just gotten it at the nice place.) I then had to have an alignment, which Walmart doesn't do, so I went back to the nice place. I felt like I should take them some brownies, so I did; they knocked a chunk off the price and checked the car out thoroughly. But....that was two expenses I can't afford right now.

I have a PT job, but the company sure isn't sticking to the Christian founder's way of doing things. I lost a lot of time in January due to being sick and snowstorms, when the store closed early, and instead of 18 hours a week in February was scheduled for 6; this week I'm not on the schedule at all. I called the supervisor - usually a really great guy - and he first pretended not to know me, then made up some BS excuse as to why I'm not on the schedule. Well, it's pretty obvious what they're doing - they're scheduling the people who make the least amount of money, hoping those who get more will quit. I'm not holding my breath waiting for them to schedule me - they don't fire PT people (unless they steal or something); they schedule them less and less hoping they'll find another job, so they don't have to pay unemployment. What hurts is, the manager and supervisor have repeatedly said I'm one of their best people and get more compliments from customers than anyone else. Granted, I still have my employee discount....but I'll never shop there again.

To be honest, the Holy Spirit has been nudging me to leave there for quite a while. A lot of the stuff they've started selling has occultic themes, skulls, Illuminati symbols, and the Neronic cross, symbol of the AC (the "peace sign") is on anything and everything you can imagine....including baby clothes, underwear, PJs, and sunglasses. (This is a major family department store chain.) More and more I'm seeing T-shirts with vulgar sayings; the last few weeks there was one that said "Got blood?" on one side where I'd see it all the time; on the other side was one with "Blow Pops" and a picture of the lollipop....I really doubt the words refer to the candy. I felt dirty just having this junk around me...and these are not the worst of the lot. They play games with prices, putting tags on things for twice or more what the items are worth, then proclaim a "SALE!" I could go on and on....but you get the idea.

On top of everything else, my sweet Doodles had to be taken to the ER Sunday night. He's been having trouble peeing and I know that can be very dangerous in a male cat. Thankfully it wasn't a blockage, just a UTI and he has some crystals, but he's now on three meds and the bill was almost $200. I gave them what I had, and they took a post dated check for when I get my SSDI. He has to go back to a regular vet on Monday to make sure the antibiotics are working; that'll be another $130 or so.

So....for all intents and purposes I don't have a job, my SSDI covers the basics (mortgage, utilities, and food if I shop very carefully), but nothing else. I put in seven applications in the last few days; I've heard back from one already - a chain of Christian bookstores. They said I seem to be what they're looking for, and they're going to forward my application to the local store manager. Hobby Lobby looks like it would be a great place to work - there's actually a sign when you walk in that says, "We're closed on Sundays in order to give our employees time to spend with their families and worship God." The music playing in the background was, "How Great Thou Art".....quite a change from "Werewolves of London" which is what I have to hear frequently at the other place!

I really needed to talk to an elderly woman in another state who is my spiritual Mom. I called her....and her husband told me that she has gone on home.

I didn't mean to go on for so long, but I guess I need to just "talk." Anyway, I'd appreciate prayer for Doodles' complete healing, for a job in a place where I'll be blessed and be a blessing (and where they're work with me on the limited hours I'm allowed to work), and for some sort of financial breakthrough. And please pray for Bryan, my friend's husband. He seems lost; he said they'd been married for 52 years, and before she left he told her he'd be with her soon.
